British Association of Radio Control Soarers

was founded in 1972 to organise and represent the interests of everybody involved in radio controlled soaring. The Association has been in existence for over 30 years and has as members enthusiasts representing all the soaring disciplines, including thermal, slope, scale and electric.

In 1984 BARCS was awarded the FAI Diplome d'Honneur by the Royal Aero Club in recognition of its achievements in furthering radio controlled soaring.

Thanks to the efforts of Martin Godden the new BARCS web site has now been in use since Spring 2007.

This, the old site, was active from March 1997 until May 2007.
